Privacy policy
Understand the information used on sweeple.ca, why it is used and how to contact us to exercise your rights.
The website and the applications
This policy covers the sweeple.ca information website and messages you choose to send to SWEEPLE through it. SWEEPLE is based in Gatineau, Québec. You can contact us at app@sweeple.ca.
The website is preparing for launch. It introduces cleaning services and the Cleaner journey; bookings, applications and payments are not yet available here. Application accounts and features are covered by the separate Client privacy notice (French) and Cleaner privacy notice (French), presented in the relevant app journey.
The person responsible for your information
SWEEPLE Management, meaning the person with the highest authority within the business, acts as the person responsible for the protection of personal information. For a request or complaint, email app@sweeple.ca with “Privacy” in the subject line.
The person responsible receives requests, reviews their scope and helps you clarify them when needed. The Commission d’accès à l’information explains this role and its responsibilities (French).
Information used when you visit
To deliver and protect the website. Netlify hosting may process technical information such as your IP address, request time, requested page and technical details sent by your browser. These help deliver pages, maintain availability, understand errors and protect access.
To answer your message. The Contact form prepares an email in your own email application using the fields you completed. Typing in the form does not send those fields to a website database. You choose whether to send the email. When you send it, we receive your email address, the information you entered and any attachments you added.
Your name, subject and relevant details help us understand and answer your request. Leave out information unrelated to it. Do not send identity documents, a social insurance number, banking details, tax returns or property access codes through the form or ordinary email. Ask for an appropriate channel first.
Cookies and privacy choices
The current website contains no advertising pixel or marketing tracking tool added by SWEEPLE. Fonts and visuals are served with the website. Technical hosting logs are separate from advertising tracking.
Visiting the website or reading a policy does not subscribe you to promotional communications. If new collection tools or non-essential cookies are introduced, their purposes and your choices must be explained before activation, with any consent required.
People and services involved
Access to messages and information must be limited to people who need it for support, operations or security. Netlify hosts the website and Google Workspace provides SWEEPLE’s email service. We use this information to answer and follow up on your request and protect our services.
These services may involve processing or access outside Québec. We do not guarantee that all information and access remain in Québec or Canada. Transfers outside Québec remain subject to applicable privacy requirements. Application-specific providers and uses are described separately in the app privacy notice.
Keeping what is needed
Our retention criterion is the time needed to answer the request, provide relevant follow-up and meet applicable obligations. A legal obligation may require some information to be kept longer. Information no longer needed must be securely destroyed, subject to legal retention and anonymization rules.
You can ask the person responsible which rule applies to your support exchange or technical information concerning you. Read the Commission’s explanation of retention rules (French).
Security and reporting concerns
The website connection uses HTTPS. No online service can promise absolute security. To report suspicious access or an incident involving your information, contact app@sweeple.ca with the relevant facts, without sensitive attachments.
In an incident, SWEEPLE must reduce risks, assess consequences, maintain the required register and notify affected people and the Commission when the risk and applicable rules require it. Learn about confidentiality incidents (French).
Access, correction and other requests
You can request access to your information, correction and, where legal conditions apply, disclosure in a structured, commonly used technological format. You can also withdraw consent to a use that relies on that consent and make a complaint.
Email app@sweeple.ca with the nature of your request and a way to reply. Proportionate identity verification may be needed. Written access or correction requests receive a written response promptly and within 30 days of receipt, under applicable rules. A refusal must explain the reasons and available recourse.
Withdrawing consent may prevent the related use from continuing; the consequences must be explained to you. It does not remove a legal retention obligation. You can seek recourse from the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (French) if you are dissatisfied with the response or handling.
When this policy changes
The update date appears at the top of this page. Changes to purposes or practices must be explained as required by applicable rules; publishing a policy does not replace any consent that may be needed.
